So What Makes You Come Alive?

So what is your passion? When I say passion, many various thoughts could surface. Hobbies, or activities outside of work may come to mind (which could very well point to what you should be doing for a living). Pondering the question may present some disruption if you do not really know what you are passionate about. Whatever the case, discovering what you most love to do and aligning your efforts around that passion is the foundation for success.

Evaluating passion and desire has been very disrupting for me over the last few years. However, it has been incredibly rewarding because I know now much more than when I was studying and reading about the subject what I am wired for. I have gone deeper into what gives me energy and motivation as I establish relationships with business owners to provide catalyst for the growth of their business through Internet marketing products and services. I love seeing individuals and companies/organizations overcome business challenges to grow and succeed.

Hearing prominent business and organizational leaders talk about success over the years, a key element always gets stated: You must love what you do to be successful; you must have a passion that drives your diligence and hard efforts. So how do you know if you love what you do? There can be some key internal indicators that confirm a passion for the work you are doing, or reflective thoughts about what you spend your time on.

Get some immediate indicators answering some of these questions:

Does time seem to fly by when I am working, or carrying out what I have been called to do?

Do I feel excited and energetic about my work?

When challenges of some sort, such as needing to learn about a new product or tool arises, or needing to gain more depth in a complex issue, do you fully embrace and tackle the challenge?

I will leave this post with a quote that has been stated repeatedly by one of my sages.

"Don't ask what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive!" (author unknown)
So what makes you come alive? Please let me know in the comments section.

Welcome to The Heart of Marketing

Welcome to the Heart of Marketing. I felt it would be good to first blog on why I have decided to embark on this journey. I will present this in chunks to attempt prevention of forced click-away due to too much at once. So read a section, and come back to read more if you find it compelling. Please do not hesitate to provide me with comments and feedback.

Honesty Check Obviously, I want to promote and build awareness of my company and what I can offer as well as network for possible opportunities to do business with my readers and those they hold influence over.
Why do I want this to be a goal of my blogging is a good question to ask when some could write this off as being the sole purpose. If it were the sole objective of my writing here, I feel that would still be okay because I totally believe in the products and services I am offering. Jim Collins talks about in his book, Good to Great, how technology needs to be a catalyst for businesses to go from good to great.
I believe Internet Marketing, if done properly can be a catalyst in the area of marketing and communications like none we have seen so far; particularly, because your web presence produces the metrics readily and accurately to let you know if it is acting as that catalyst. You can tie those metrics directly into your marketing strategy, and implementation. Many out there still have no clue what to do and I am confident and passionate about helping them figure it out. This is my catalyst from which I try to build lasting business relationships. It is a major part of what I love about my work. “No, really” it is about the relationship. So please do not hesitate to contact me about how you can Find, Get and Keep customers through an effective online presence!

Inspiration: I want to Inspire: I am very much a kinesthetic communicator and I like that. I want to speak from the heart and convey my passion for business and marketing. I want to inspire and motivate those reading in whatever way the message comes across. I have blogged and joined discussions on some of the social media sites and others’ blogs out here. Some have told me that what I offered inspired them (of what I am not completely sure). If I can accomplish this, then it will be well worth to effort. My hope is that the inspiration will help you in some way to think or act differently in your approach to marketing and business.

An important note to add here is that I must credit Sandler Sales for teaching me about Kinesthetic and other primary forms of communication. I have learned some great techniques from some initial training and have gained much from applying some of the methods from that particular sales system.

Underserved? I really want to explore some topics of marketing from this angle, and yes, provide an occasional rant. In fact, I am thinking about some already.
….and please do not hesitate to offer up some topics here along the blog’s theme. What is missing out there in the blogosphere in regards to passion and motivation, the heart of marketing and business?
This is just part of who I am and how I am wired, thus making it more motivating to explore and discuss, rather than educating you on the latest marketing gadget, or trend. Maybe we will discuss some of that here. Marketing Blogs are all over the place. I have read, recently as a matter of fact, that marketing is at the top of the list for business related blogs. My hope is that even with the flood of marketing blogs out there, I can bring a unique perspective through my insights and experiences.
